After graduating high school from Ashby in 2002, Dallas Rylander went on to pursue a degree in Business Administration from Bemidji State University. He then transferred to Minnesota State University Moorhead, where in 2006 he earned a degree in Business Administration, Finance, and Communication Studies. After graduating, Dallas came back to Ashby and worked as a Financial Analyst for Verizon Wireless. In 2011, he began employment with First State Bank of Ashby and Rylander Insurance Agency, achieving the role of Vice President, Assistant Cashier, and Insurance Agent. Dallas is now focused on managing RIA. He currently serves as Treasurer for the Ashby School Board, Vice Commander for Ashby Sons of the American Legion, Treasurer for Coots Unlimited, and Board Member of the Ashby Legacy Fund. As an active member in the Ashby community, he is proud of where he was brought up and where he continues to raise his own family alongside his wife, Alexis. They have three wonderful children: Carver, Brooks, and Willow. In his time away from the office, Dallas enjoys spending time with his friends and family, athletic events, hunting, fishing, and camping.

John Kent has been a staple of the Ashby school community for generations, retiring in 2018 after 31 years of teaching science at Ashby High School, along with numerous coaching roles and serving as the Athletic Director. There’s no shortage of students who highlight the positive impact Mr. Kent made on their lives during their time at Ashby. John is excited to continue his role in the Ashby community as an insurance agent for Rylander Insurance Agency. His background in education and dedication toward helping others is surely an asset to RIA and its customers. He is active with the Ashby Lions Club and Eagle Lake Lutheran Church. John resides in the Ashby area with his wife, Heidi. They have two grown daughters: Anne (Kianoosh) and Josie. In his spare time, John enjoys time with friends and family, hunting, fishing, and anything the great outdoors has to offer.

Anita Rylander began working for First State Bank of Ashby and Rylander Insurance Agency in 1986, handling numerous duties for each entity over the past 20+ years. Her and her husband, Lon, have had ownership in both entities since 1991. With the sale of First State Bank in 2018, she is now focused on providing the best service for RIA’s customers. Anita is active with the Ashby Cares Relay For Life Team, Ashby American Legion Auxiliary, and First Presbyterian Church of Ashby. Her and Lon have two grown sons, Jason and Dallas, who blessed them with two wonderful daughter-in-laws, Darcy and Alexis, along with five of the sweetest grandchildren: Rivers, Carver, Brooks, Cove, and Willow. Anita enjoys gardening, boating, time in the sun, and most importantly, spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
